When I make these toffee-flavored graham cracker bites and set a plate out for people to enjoy, they are gone in minutes.
Graham Cracker Bites
toffee bars
Yield: 15 servings
Materials
- 14 whole graham crackers whole
- 1 cup salted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 cup Pecans chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray
- Arrange cracker touching each other in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly for 3-4 minutes and then pour the butter mixture over the graham crackers. (make sure the caramel sauce doesn't get too dark or the finished product will be too hard and won't be as tasty).
- Pour the toffee mixture over the graham crackers and spread over the surface with a rubber spatula and sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
- Bake at 400 for 4-5 minutes – to set the toffee and nuts. Remove from the oven and set on a wire rack until cool enough to touch.
- Break into pieces and serve.
